$75 for the season which includes use of SJJF boats or storage of personal boat. Sailors may also choose to pay $15 per week if not planning to sail the entire season. Season registered sailors get assigned boats, others are on a first come basis each week.

Races are open to boats sailing any rig, Full, Radial or 4.7 and all boats will be scored together regardless of rig used. Dual-handed SJJF 420’s and limited SJJF Lasers are available.

This fleet is more low key racing focused on fun. We encourage parents to sail with kids and this fleet is open to the general public to participate but must have prior sailing experience. Sailors are not required to race but if they choose not to race but they must stay within hailing distance of the race committee boat at all times and stay out of the way of boats that are racing.

The course will be announced by the race committee prior to each race. The primary course will be a windward/leeward with start and finish in the middle with either once or twice around depending on wind conditions. The start/finish line will be closed sailing downwind. The desired race duration is 15-20 minutes with a goal of getting 3-4 races per night.

Races will be started using a 3 minute starting sequence with Lasers then 420’s.

Races will be scored using a low points scoring system. Races will be tracked weekly and results posted on the SJJF.org website showing overall standings for the season. Sailors will be granted one throw-out race for every five races sailed. Those who do not compete in a race will be given a score of the number of boats sailed plus one. Awards will be made to sailors finishing in the top three places in each fleet for the season.
